ARCHIE BARWICK BOT

SPECIAL FEATURE

Archie Barwick

WANT an exclusive one-on-one with a real AnzacLive war veteran?

To mark the historic battles of Fromelles and Pozieres, in July 1916, AnzacLive has launched an Archie Barwick chatbot on Facebook Messenger.

Like Archie’s regular Facebook page, the bot will send out diary entries from his extraordinary time at Pozieres; and you can chat with it any time you like.

Unlike the regular page, however, the Archie bot is not being run by News Corp journalists – it uses artificial intelligence to select the right answers from Archie’s extensive diaries.

It’s ideal for mobile and means you’ll get instant messages from Archie wherever you are, without having to log into your Facebook news feed.

We’d love you to help try it out – it may not be perfect at first but your input will help us train it. To get involved just click here: http://m.me/anzaclivearchie or go to Archie Barwick's Facebook page, select the Archie Bot App and start chatting!

The bot has been made by News Corp Australia with Wizeline, using Wit.ai technology and trained by Aaron Taylor, Helena Rainert and Peta Gilbert, with Ryan Hunt and Justin Lees.
